One of the things that surprised me most about Guy Birkin, apart from the originality of his compositions, is that he was trying to give a meaning to his work, he was trying to explain why he had sat in front of the computer and arrived at this result, it reminded me a lot of the way in which some artists approach art installations in a gallery.
